BIOGRAPHY - Terese Rogers (Born 1957)

Terese Rogers

Terese Rogers, a realist painter, was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA.  One of her earliest memories is standing on a chair to reach the kitchen blackboard where she would spend hours drawing.  Her parents encouraged her creative abilities from a young age.

She combined her passion for art and compassion for people by receiving her BA degree in psychology from Bloomsburg University and her MA in art therapy from Marywood University.  While raising her three children with her husband Don, she worked as an art therapist helping people to heal and discover themselves using art as a tool.

In 2007 she had the good fortune to study with Anthony Waichulis at what is now the Anni Art Academy Waichulis.  It was there that she gained the knowledge and discipline to enhance her artistic abilities.  Terese's focus is to capture the beauty in nature and simple things in our lives that bring us hope and joy.  Her work has been exhibited at numerous galleries and received awards from The Art Renewal Center and The Artists Magazine; in addition, she has been featured in several publications including The Artists Magazine and American Arts Quarterly.
